Action Priority focus mode
When shooting photos with the EOS R5 Mark II's advanced electronic shutter, the camera's DIGIC Accelerator processor lets it identify significant actions in three sports: football, basketball and volleyball. The camera automatically switches the active AF area to a person performing the kind of a critical action that has traditionally been hard to shoot, such as a shot from a high-speed pass.

Next Generation Eye Control AF
Select an AF area, or a subject to track, simply by looking at it. The use of newly developed optics and a revised line-of-sight algorithm enhances the accuracy of the system, compared with the EOS R3, and broadens the angle over which the system is effective, for a more natural experience.

Pre-continuous shooting
15 frames are buffered continuously while the shutter-release is half pressed, and written to memory card when you actually take the shot.
