Hasselblad XCD 55mm F2.5 V Lens

Hasselblad's XCD 2,5/ 55V lens has been designed to deliver high-class optical performance when paired with the Hasselblad X2D 100C Medium Format Camera. This crop lens is an equivalent 43mm full-frame lens. The focal length makes this lens ideal for portrait photography. Hasselblad has creed a series of XCD lenses including the 38V and XCD 90mm lens.

Compact build
The lens has been designed with nine elements in eight groups, including three aspheric elements. This lens is compact 76mm in length and weighs only 372g, making it an expertly crafted professional must-have lens for any Hasselblad X2D photographer looking to keep their kit lightweight for travelling.

100 Megapixel
Over a 100-megapixel resolution is supported by this lens, allowing you to take incredibly detailed photographs and images with your Hasselblad medium format camera.

Built-in Leaf Shutter,
The lens has been designed with a leaf shutter, this shutter allows the lens to be more compact and make less noise than focal-plane shutters. There is also less distortion of moving objects when using a leaf shutter and can reduce the effect of a rolling shutter on a moving image. The XCD 2,5/55V lens can achieve a shutter speed up to 1/2000s, making it perfect for capturing fast-moving subjects such as cars. Flash synchronisation can be achieved throughout the full range of shutter speeds.

The focus ring and Control ring
The lens has been designed for easy functionality, with both a focus ring and control ring being integrated into the lens design you can keep your eyes on your subject without stopping to change focus or control settings. Change between AF and MF by a simple push and pull of the focus ring.

Customisable control ring
The control ring can be customised, allowing you to set it to your preferred function for quick adjustment. For example, you can set it to control the ISO of the camera, allowing for quick adjustments to the camera's exposure.

Check Focus Distance and DOF
When in manual focus (MF) mode you can effortlessly check the focus distance and the DOF (depth of field) readings. This information can be used to move into a position that provides you with your ideal depth of field, while still maintaining an expertly high-quality image.

Phocus software
Images imported to Hasselblads Phocus software are optimised to produce the best quality final image. For example, light fall-of and distortion are automatically removed when imported into Phocus.
