Panasonic Lumix S1 IIE Digital Mirrorless Camera Body

The Panasonic LUIMX S1IIE is a more budget-friendly version of the S1II, with an identical body and performance that sits between it and the S5II X. With a 24.2mp sensor and impressive video features, including the ability to record Open Gate in either 6K30p. With the LUMIX S1IIE, dynamic video and sharp photos are easy to create.

24MP Sensor
Though lacking the partially stacked nature of the S1II’s sensor, this camera still boasts a high-quality 24.2mp BSI sensor and 14+ stops of dynamic range. The Dynamic Range Boost retains details in both highlights and shadows, allowing for filming to take place in difficult lighting environments and still be recoverable. It is also capable of taking 96mp high-resolution images, and using HEIF format for efficiency.

Improved, High Speed Autofocus
Excellent image quality, vibrant colour accuracy, and cutting-edge video technology work alongside the S1IIE’s advanced real-time recognition Phase Hybrid AF with AI-driven eye, face, and new 'Urban Sports' tracking, for higher grade content creation. This mode recognises street dance, freestyle football, skateboarding, BMX and parkour movements. Tackling fast-moving subjects such as these is achieved thanks to the sensor working in combination with the high-speed burst modes for pinpoint detail.

6K Open Gate Video
Frame and crop video to suit your needs with the S1 Mark II E’s Open Gate video recording. This video camera can record open gate, using cropless IBIS in 6.4k 30p, offering a huge amount of potential for filming content for YouTube and TikTok, or working to clients’ briefs. Plus, a new Cinemascope video format (2.4:1) is available in various frame rates including 60p without cropping.

30fps Burst Shooting
Like the S5II X, this camera features up to 30 frames per second, black-out-free burst shooting (with electronic shutter) for capturing every high-speed moment. Or, use the mechanical shutter for 10 frames per second. Not only this, with 1.5-second pre-burst capture, fewer moments will be missed, ensuring you get that once-in-a-lifetime shot.

Video Assist Functions
As a hybrid camera with a video focus, the LUMIX S1M2E has many video assist functions to bring your ideas to life. These include a tally lamp, Bluetooth Time Code Sync with ultra-sync blue, false colour, peaking and zebra, AI auto white balance and many more.
You can also record directly to an SSD, ideal for dealing with larger file formats, or easily copy and back up to your SSD from your SD or CFexpress card. There are also new colour styles, including Cinelike A2 and Arri Log C3*, which is available for the first time in a full-frame Panasonic Camera.

Photo Assist Functions
On top of excellent video functions, the S1IIE also has professional image features such as new HEIF photo support for superior compression and image quality. The camera is also compatible with Capture One, which makes it ideal for tethering and studio work.

32-bit float audio
Achieve high-quality audio with 32-bit float audio. A format that offers a much wider dynamic range compared to standard 16-bit or 24-bit, this format allows for greater flexibility in post-production.

Body
The LUMIX S1IIE weighs approximately 795g, making it relatively lightweight. It has a wide range of tactile buttons, including a Stills/Video/S&Q switch that makes it easy to quickly move between modes, and an additional dial easily switches between burst modes.
On the front of the camera is a tally light and a record button for ease of use, especially when doing pieces to camera. And on the side you can record to both SD and CFexpress Type B card slots.
