The Ricoh GR IV is the newest flagship of the GR-series, delivering professional-grade performance in a slim, pocketable design. Its newly developed back-illuminated APS-C CMOS sensor with 25.7 effective megapixels, paired with the sharp 18.3mm F2.8 GR lens (28mm equivalent), ensures you get clear, high-resolution images with every shot. Featuring high ISO, built-in Shake Reduction (SR), and fast autofocus, this compact digital camera is capable even in challenging conditions.

Plus, a new Cinema mode, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 3.0-inch HD LCD enhance its usability on the go, making it the perfect companion for street, travel, and documentary photographers.

New GR lens
The Ricoh GR IV features a new 18.3mm F2.8 GR lens (28mm equivalent in 35mm format), with a distinctly slim and compact design. Its construction consists of 7 elements in 5 groups, including high-refraction, low-dispersion glass and a final large-diameter element. These ensure sharp, high-contrast images throughout the frame while minimising distortion and chromatic aberration.

Equipped with a back-illuminated APS-C CMOS sensor with approximately 25.7 effective megapixels and the advanced GR Engine 7, the GR IV achieves superior resolving power, smooth tonal gradation, and low noise. An integrated accelerator unit further enhances high-sensitivity performance, enabling up to 204800 ISO, for low-light shooting.

5-axis IBIS
The GR IV features a five-axis image stabilisation via its Shake Reduction (SR) mechanism, providing compensation equivalent to up to six shutter steps at the time of shutter release. This system minimises pitch, yaw, roll, and shift shake, ensuring stable, blur-free results even in handheld or macro photography.

Advanced hybrid AF
With an optimised start-up sequence and redesigned lens barrel, the GR IV powers on in just 0.6 seconds. Its image sensor’s high-speed data readout, advanced lens driving mechanism, and improved image-plane phase-matching AF system deliver fast, accurate focus, even in low-light conditions, and quick switching to Macro mode, ideal for capturing spontaneous moments.

Compact, slim, and functional
Built for durable carrying and quick shooting, the slim camera body is made from a lightweight magnesium alloy and features a comfortable thumb grip for longer handheld shoots. Ideal as a snapshot camera, the layout of control buttons and dials has been redesigned for rapid usability, including the addition of a mode adjustment dial in place of a lever.

Flexible exposure
The camera introduces a Program Auto Ex function to allow quick switching between Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority with a simple dial turn when in Program AE mode. A new Snap Distance-Priority AE mode expands your creative options for street and snapshot photography, enabling precise control over depth of field and subject distance.

Cinema mode
Alongside 12 traditional image effect modes, the GR IV adds a new Cinema mode with nostalgic film-inspired tones (yellow or green) so you can recreate the rich and atmospheric look of older film-format movie shots. With basic adjustable parameters such as saturation, contrast, grain, key and hue, as well as this mode’s new parameters like strength and size, photographers can create distinctive visual styles and save customised settings for quick future access.

Seamless connectivity
Dual Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support ensures effortless pairing with smart devices for streamlined workflows on the go. With a new, dedicated GR WORLD app, users can transfer images, control the camera shutter release remotely, and sync location data at a moment's notice.

High-Definition LCD Monitor
The 3.0-inch, 1.03M-dot LCD monitor uses an air gapless construction to minimise reflections and improve outdoor visibility. Plus, with an Outdoor Monitor setting that includes an automatic brightness adjustment, the screen will remain clear and easy to view, no matter if you’re shooting in bright sunlit streets or amongst dimly lit indoor architecture.
